Quartzite
Breccia Imperiale
Breccia Imperiale is a sophisticated Brazilian quartzite, also known as Amarula, prized for its deep coffee to chocolate brown tones. This durable natural stone is characterized by its complex, cataclastic structure, featuring a magnetic mosaic of rock fragments and fine minerals. Striking white to ivory quartz veins meander across its surface like rivers of light, providing a dynamic visual contrast. Geologically formed through intense tectonic pressure, it boasts a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale and exceptional acid resistance. This makes it an elite choice for high-traffic surfaces like kitchen countertops where it masterfully resists scratches and stains. Interestingly, its unique fragmented appearance is the result of natural rock being literally pulverized and then fused back together over millions of years.
