Marble
Verde Alpi Scuro
Verde Alpi Scuro is a prestigious serpentinite marble quarried from the Aosta Valley in the Italian Alps. Characterized by its deep, forest-green background, this stone is famously interlaced with a sophisticated network of white calcite veins that create a dramatic, web-like contrast. Geologically classified as an ophicalcite, it was formed by the intense tectonic collision of the African and European plates. Its name, "Scuro," translates to "dark," highlighting its intense, moody pigmentation. This durable stone has been a symbol of luxury since antiquity, frequently used in high-end Italian interiors for its ability to hold an exceptionally high, glass-like polish.
