Calacatta Altissimo is a prestigious Italian marble quarried from the Seravezza region in the Apuan Alps of Tuscany. Renowned for its luminous, crisp white background, this premium stone is distinguished by bold, dramatic grey veining often accented by subtle hints of gold. Its sophisticated and refined aesthetic makes it a top choice for high-end interior applications, including luxury countertops, elegant vanities, and statement flooring. Historically, the quarries of this region were favored by the legendary sculptor Michelangelo. Interestingly, the name Altissimo refers to the high-altitude peaks from which this exceptional marble is extracted, reaching some of the highest points in the Carrara mountain range.
