Onyx Velluto, also known as Ocean Wave Onyx, is a breathtaking semi-precious stone primarily quarried in Mexico. It is defined by its dramatic, fluid banding that mimics the rhythmic movement of deep-sea currents, typically displaying a sophisticated palette of charcoal grey, cool silver, and translucent white, often accented by hints of gold or sage green. As a microcrystalline calcite, its most striking feature is its high translucency, which allows the stone to radiate a soft, ethereal glow when backlit.
