Marble
Rojo Alicante
Rojo Alicante is a premier Spanish marble quarried primarily from the Alicante region, specifically near La Alguena. This celebrated natural stone is defined by its deep, saturated terracotta to brick-red background, dramatically interrupted by a delicate network of white and occasional gray calcite veins. While it is commercially classified as a marble, it is geologically a fine-grained limestone formed during the Cretaceous period. Renowned for its warm, earthy elegance, it has gained international prestige alongside other Spanish classics like Crema Marfil. Interestingly, its name "Rojo" simply translates to "Red," reflecting its bold, unmistakable presence in Mediterranean architecture for centuries.
