Bianco Dolomiti is an exquisite white marble from the upper echelon of natural stones, primarily quarried in Turkey despite its frequent association with Italian design. This dolomitic marble is distinguished by its fine, milky-white background and smooth, subtle gray veining, offering a cleaner and more consistent aesthetic than many traditional marbles. Its unique composition includes over 40% calcium magnesium carbonate, providing a higher density and greater durability that makes it suitable for high-traffic indoor surfaces and even certain outdoor applications. Its understated elegance and soft texture have made it a favorite for modern, minimalist designs. Interestingly, its high magnesium content not only enhances its strength but also gives it a signature "paint-like" clarity that defines luxury in contemporary architecture.
On hand at our Los Angeles yard: one slab of Bianco Dolomiti, a 2 cm white with semi-white and grey marble from Italy in a polished finish. Lot KM23392_B01 measures about 121″ × 74″.
This slab
The recorded size of a slab in this lot is 121″ × 74″, about 62 square feet. Thickness is 2 cm. The color on record is white with semi-white and grey. Natural stone still varies inside that description, so the slab itself is the reference for movement and shade. This material is recorded as quarried in Italy.
The polished finish is reflective and lets the color read clearly. Two centimeters is a standard slab thickness for counters, vanities, and wall cladding.
In the yard
Lot KM23392_B01 at our Los Angeles yard shows one slab in stock, none on hold, and one slab available. Available means in stock minus slabs on hold.
With one slab available, it suits a project that can be cut from a single piece.
Where it works
For this kind of stone, the usual applications are bathrooms, vanities, fireplace surrounds, and feature walls. The right use still depends on the finish, the thickness, and how the slab will be cared for after it is installed. Inspiration photos show this stone in a Kitchen and a Bathroom.
The material
Marble is a metamorphic stone, recrystallized from limestone, and it is valued for veining and a luminous surface. It is softer and more sensitive to acids than granite or quartzite, so wine, citrus, and strong cleaners can etch a polish. That is why it is a classic for bathrooms, vanities, fireplaces, and walls, and for kitchens when the owner wants the look and will live with a natural patina. A honed face shows etching less than a high polish. Vein direction should be planned on the actual slabs before fabrication.
