Just in: a new arrival of Bianco Serena at our Los Angeles yard.

This honed dolomite is Bianco Serena, in white with grey, cut at 2 cm and quarried in Brazil. Lot 5536 runs from 122″ × 80″ to 124″ × 80″, with 20 slabs available at our Los Angeles yard.

This slab

The recorded size of a slab in this lot is 123″ × 80″, about 68 square feet. Sizes across the lot run from 122″ × 80″ to 124″ × 80″. Thickness is 2 cm. The color on record is white with grey. Natural stone still varies inside that description, so the slab itself is the reference for movement and shade. This material is recorded as quarried in Brazil.

The honed finish is smooth and matte, without a high gloss. Two centimeters is a standard slab thickness for counters, vanities, and wall cladding.

In the yard

Lot 5536 at our Los Angeles yard shows 20 slabs in stock, none on hold, and 20 slabs available. Available means in stock minus slabs on hold.

The slabs can be compared in daylight at our Los Angeles yard before anything is cut.

Where it works

For this kind of stone, the usual applications are bathrooms, vanities, and light-use counters. The right use still depends on the finish, the thickness, and how the slab will be cared for after it is installed. Inspiration photos show this stone in a Bathroom and a Kitchen.

The material

Dolomite is a carbonate stone. In the showroom it is often grouped with marble, and many bright white names are dolomite rather than calcite marble. It is generally a little harder than calcite marble, but it can still etch, so care is closer to marble than to granite. Judge movement and brightness from the slab, not from the name alone.

About Bianco Serena

Bianco Serena is a sophisticated dolomite marble quarried from the rich geological formations of Brazil. Distinguished by its luminous, pure white background, this natural stone is elegantly accented with soft, delicate marbling and subtle grey to golden veining. Its high density and lower porosity compared to traditional marbles make it an exceptionally durable choice for high-traffic areas, including kitchen countertops and flooring. This stone is often favored by designers for its ability to provide a clean, minimalist aesthetic while offering the robust performance of a dolomitic structure. Interestingly, while the name Serena often evokes Italian origins, this specific variety is a testament to the premium quality of Brazilian white stones.
