Cafe St Laurent, also known as Saint Laurent Brown or Brown Tiny, is a sophisticated marble primarily quarried in China. It is defined by a deep, chocolate brown to dark coffee-toned background, elegantly interlaced with fine white and golden-beige veining. This sedimentary stone offers a high-contrast, luxurious aesthetic that serves as a warmer alternative to traditional black marbles. Its dense structure and ability to take a high-gloss polish make it a premier choice for interior applications, including statement countertops, wall cladding, and high-end flooring. Interestingly, while its deep tones evoke the refinement of the Belle Époque, the stone’s distinctive color palette is often compared to a "liquid depth," as if the surface captured the very essence of the earth's heat. Its versatility allows it to transition seamlessly between classic and modern architectural styles.
Lot A260 is a 3-slab run of 2 cm Cafe St Laurent marble, in a polished finish. The slabs measure about 117″ × 74″, with 2 slabs available and one on hold at our Los Angeles yard.
This slab
The recorded size of a slab in this lot is 117″ × 74″, about 60 square feet. Thickness is 2 cm.
The polished finish is reflective and lets the color read clearly. Two centimeters is a standard slab thickness for counters, vanities, and wall cladding.
In the yard
Lot A260 at our Los Angeles yard shows 3 slabs in stock, one slab on hold, and 2 slabs available. Available means in stock minus slabs on hold.

Where it works
For this kind of stone, the usual applications are bathrooms, vanities, fireplace surrounds, and feature walls. The right use still depends on the finish, the thickness, and how the slab will be cared for after it is installed. Inspiration photos show this stone in a Bathroom and a Powder.
The material
Marble is a metamorphic stone, recrystallized from limestone, and it is valued for veining and a luminous surface. It is softer and more sensitive to acids than granite or quartzite, so wine, citrus, and strong cleaners can etch a polish. That is why it is a classic for bathrooms, vanities, fireplaces, and walls, and for kitchens when the owner wants the look and will live with a natural patina. A honed face shows etching less than a high polish. Vein direction should be planned on the actual slabs before fabrication.
