Calacatta Corchia is a prestigious Italian marble quarried from the legendary Apuan Alps in Tuscany. Distinguished by its luminous white to off-white background, it features dramatic, brecciated patterns and bold, sweeping veins in shades of charcoal, dove gray, and occasional hints of gold or taupe. This high-contrast aesthetic makes it a preferred choice for statement pieces like waterfall islands and feature walls. Interestingly, while often compared to Arabescato due to its similar "egg-shaped" patterns, Calacatta Corchia is technically a variety within the Arabescato family, specifically sourced from the Monte Corchia area, offering a slightly warmer, more intricate depth.
Slabs of Calacatta Corchia in lot 60052/A run from 117″ × 77″ to 118″ × 77″. This is 2 cm white with beige and grey marble quarried in Italy with a honed finish, and 27 slabs are available and one is on hold at our Los Angeles yard.
This slab
The recorded size of a slab in this lot is 118″ × 77″, about 63 square feet. Sizes across the lot run from 117″ × 77″ to 118″ × 77″. Thickness is 2 cm. The color on record is white with beige and grey. Natural stone still varies inside that description, so the slab itself is the reference for movement and shade. This material is recorded as quarried in Italy.
The honed finish is smooth and matte, without a high gloss. Two centimeters is a standard slab thickness for counters, vanities, and wall cladding.

Where it works
For this kind of stone, the usual applications are bathrooms, vanities, fireplace surrounds, and feature walls. The right use still depends on the finish, the thickness, and how the slab will be cared for after it is installed. Inspiration photos show this stone in a Calacatta Corchia Honed 2CM.
The material
Marble is a metamorphic stone, recrystallized from limestone, and it is valued for veining and a luminous surface. It is softer and more sensitive to acids than granite or quartzite, so wine, citrus, and strong cleaners can etch a polish. That is why it is a classic for bathrooms, vanities, fireplaces, and walls, and for kitchens when the owner wants the look and will live with a natural patina. A honed face shows etching less than a high polish. Vein direction should be planned on the actual slabs before fabrication.
