Four Seasons, also known as Quatre Saisons, is an extraordinary Italian marble that serves as a vibrant tribute to the natural world. This stone is celebrated for its complex, high-movement aesthetic, featuring a lush forest-green base interlaced with a dramatic kaleidoscope of purple, gold, and grey veining. Its dynamic patterns create a painterly effect, making it a premier choice for statement pieces like waterfall islands and luxury wall cladding. Interestingly, its name reflects this rare mineral diversity, as the shifting colors evoke the transitional beauty of the changing seasons. Beyond its artistic appeal, this marble offers a sophisticated, high-contrast alternative for contemporary interior designs.
Lot 8689 is a 13-slab run of 2 cm Four Seasons marble, in a polished finish. The slabs run from 122″ × 60″ to 122″ × 76″, with 13 slabs available at our Los Angeles yard.
This slab
The recorded size of a slab in this lot is 122″ × 75″, about 64 square feet. Sizes across the lot run from 122″ × 60″ to 122″ × 76″. Thickness is 2 cm. The color on record is pink with multicolor, white, and black. Natural stone still varies inside that description, so the slab itself is the reference for movement and shade.
The polished finish is reflective and lets the color read clearly. Two centimeters is a standard slab thickness for counters, vanities, and wall cladding.

Where it works
For this kind of stone, the usual applications are bathrooms, vanities, fireplace surrounds, and feature walls. The right use still depends on the finish, the thickness, and how the slab will be cared for after it is installed. Inspiration photos show this stone in a Transitional Kitchen.
The material
Marble is a metamorphic stone, recrystallized from limestone, and it is valued for veining and a luminous surface. It is softer and more sensitive to acids than granite or quartzite, so wine, citrus, and strong cleaners can etch a polish. That is why it is a classic for bathrooms, vanities, fireplaces, and walls, and for kitchens when the owner wants the look and will live with a natural patina. A honed face shows etching less than a high polish. Vein direction should be planned on the actual slabs before fabrication.
