Kilimanjaro, also known as Ocean Blue, is a 2 cm blue with semi-white, white, silver, grey, and green quartzite, offered in a polished finish. Lot 29302 runs from 133″ × 75″ to 136″ × 80″, with 15 slabs available and 3 on hold at our Los Angeles yard.

This slab

The recorded size of a slab in this lot is 136″ × 80″, about 76 square feet. Sizes across the lot run from 133″ × 75″ to 136″ × 80″. Thickness is 2 cm. The color on record is blue with semi-white, white, silver, grey, and green. Natural stone still varies inside that description, so the slab itself is the reference for movement and shade. Kilimanjaro is also known as Ocean Blue. Searching either name should lead to this same material.

The polished finish is reflective and lets the color read clearly. Two centimeters is a standard slab thickness for counters, vanities, and wall cladding.

Where it works

For this kind of stone, the usual applications are kitchen countertops, islands, and vanities. The right use still depends on the finish, the thickness, and how the slab will be cared for after it is installed. Inspiration photos show this stone in a Wet Bar.

The material

Quartzite begins as sandstone and is metamorphosed into a hard, quartz-rich stone. It is chosen for kitchens and islands when a project wants marble-like movement with more scratch and heat resistance than marble. Density and absorbency still vary by quarry, so sealing should be confirmed on the slab in front of you, not assumed from the name. Movement can change across one lot, which is why the pieces are best compared side by side in daylight.

About Kilimanjaro

Kilimanjaro, also known as Ocean Blue, is a breathtaking Brazilian quartzite that captures the dynamic energy of the sea. Characterized by a mesmerizing blue-gray base, it features fluid, wavy veining in white and charcoal that mimics the rhythmic movement of ocean waves. This natural stone is celebrated for its extreme hardness and durability, outperforming even granite in scratch and heat resistance. Its sophisticated palette and crystalline structure create a unique depth, making it a premier choice for luxury countertops and feature walls. Interestingly, its name reflects its majestic presence, as the stone’s intense metamorphic origin results in a structural strength that is truly mountain-like.
