Inspiration

Lagos Azul, also known as Azul Valverde, is a premier Portuguese limestone primarily quarried in the southern Algarve region. Distinguished by its sophisticated dark gray to bluish-gray palette, this sedimentary stone features a medium-grained texture occasionally punctuated by delicate fossilized imprints and subtle tan undertones. Renowned for its uniform background and disciplined consistency, it offers a modern, minimalistic aesthetic that provides a tranquil foundation for contemporary interiors. While its high density makes it exceptionally durable for a limestone, it remains a softer, porous material best suited for interior flooring and wall cladding. Interestingly, despite its "blue" name, the stone often presents as a moody, clouded gray that reveals its subtle cerulean depth only under specific lighting conditions.
