Mocha Cream, also known as Moca Creme or Relvinha, is a prestigious beige limestone quarried in the Alcanede and Porto de Mos regions of Portugal. This sedimentary stone is globally recognized for its warm, creamy foundation and distinct parallel veins that create a refined linear aesthetic. Depending on the cut—vein-cut for a striped appearance or cross-cut for a clouded, uniform look—it offers incredible versatility for exterior cladding, masonry, and high-end flooring. Interestingly, while it is celebrated for its soft, inviting palette, its density and durability have made it the "ex-libris" of Portuguese limestones, frequently specified for large-scale architectural projects across the Middle East and Asia.
Just in: a new arrival of Mocha Cream at our Los Angeles yard.
This honed limestone is Mocha Cream, in beige with ivory and grey, cut at 2 cm and quarried in Portugal. Lot MC0103001 measures about 113″ × 67″, with 10 slabs available at our Los Angeles yard.
This slab
The recorded size of a slab in this lot is 113″ × 67″, about 53 square feet. Thickness is 2 cm. The color on record is beige with ivory and grey. Natural stone still varies inside that description, so the slab itself is the reference for movement and shade. This material is recorded as quarried in Portugal.
The honed finish is smooth and matte, without a high gloss. Two centimeters is a standard slab thickness for counters, vanities, and wall cladding.
In the yard
Lot MC0103001 at our Los Angeles yard shows 10 slabs in stock, none on hold, and 10 slabs available. Available means in stock minus slabs on hold.
The slabs can be compared in daylight at our Los Angeles yard before anything is cut.
Where it works
For this kind of stone, the usual applications are floors, wall cladding, and vanities. The right use still depends on the finish, the thickness, and how the slab will be cared for after it is installed. Inspiration photos show this stone in a Fireplace and a Floor.
The material
Limestone is a sedimentary stone, usually calmer in pattern than marble, with a soft mineral color. It is more porous than granite and is a frequent choice for floors, cladding, and vanities. Honed and brushed finishes suit its matte character. Acidic products can etch it, and a sealer is often part of the care plan. Slabs from the same lot are the right set to compare for shade before they are cut.
