Titanium Gold, also known as Cosmic Black, is a spectacular granite from Brazil that captures the essence of a deep-space nebula. This stone features an intense black background accented by dramatic, swirling veins of shimmering gold, silver, and ivory. Its mineral composition, rich in quartz and mica, provides a high-gloss finish that reflects light with extraordinary depth. Renowned for its durability and resistance to heat and scratches, it is a premier choice for high-end countertops and feature walls. Interestingly, the gold flecks are often actual trace minerals from the same metal-rich regions of Minas Gerais historically mined during Brazil’s gold rush.
This is a new arrival of Titanium Gold at our Los Angeles yard.
On hand at our Los Angeles yard: 26 slabs of Titanium Gold, also known as Cosmic Black, a 2 cm black with white, grey, and gold granite from Brazil in a leather finish. Lot 000623 runs from 126″ × 77″ to 127″ × 92″.
This slab
The recorded size of a slab in this lot is 127″ × 78″, about 69 square feet. Sizes across the lot run from 126″ × 77″ to 127″ × 92″. Thickness is 2 cm. The color on record is black with white, grey, and gold. Natural stone still varies inside that description, so the slab itself is the reference for movement and shade. Titanium Gold is also known as Cosmic Black. Searching either name should lead to this same material. This material is recorded as quarried in Brazil.
The leather finish is lightly textured, with a softer look than a full polish. Two centimeters is a standard slab thickness for counters, vanities, and wall cladding.
In the yard
Lot 000623 at our Los Angeles yard shows 26 slabs in stock, none on hold, and 26 slabs available. Available means in stock minus slabs on hold.
The slabs can be compared in daylight at our Los Angeles yard before anything is cut.
Where it works
For this kind of stone, the usual applications are kitchen countertops, vanities, and floors. The right use still depends on the finish, the thickness, and how the slab will be cared for after it is installed. Inspiration photos show this stone in an Outdoor Bar / BBQ.
The material
Granite is an igneous rock quarried around the world. It is built mostly from quartz, feldspar, and mica, and it is one of the harder stones used on counters. It stands up to heat, scratches, and everyday moisture better than most marble. A uniform color stays close from slab to slab, while a veined granite should still be matched inside the lot before it is cut. A honed face looks matte, a polish looks reflective, and a leather or brushed face feels lightly textured. Ask the fabricator whether this finish should be sealed.
