About Agate Grey
The natural banding of agate does most of the work in Agate Grey, a hand-assembled slab: ring after ring of white, smoke and graphite around crystalline centers. Pieces in the standard version are small, oval and closely packed. The Giant version spaces out larger, lighter slices with dark outlines, while Irregular Shapes trades round forms for long, broken edges that add direction to the pattern.
A backlit Grey panel looks unexpectedly warm, with the light pieces turning cream and the darker ones taking on brown and rust tones. Grey is cut to measure, up to 320 x 190 cm, with 2 cm the usual thickness and 0.6 to 4 cm on offer. The neutral palette sits easily on kitchen islands and backsplashes, bathroom walls and office reception counters. Keep acidic cleaners off the surface and wipe spills promptly. Designers in Los Angeles can source it through Modul Marble.
