Oval agate slices in black, charcoal and smoke gray, banded with white and blue-gray, spiral inward across Helix, a semi-precious special composition. Some slices open onto small crystal-lined centers, and the layout pulls the eye toward a vortex on one side of the slab, giving the design a strong sense of motion.

About Helix

Each agate slice shows its growth layers as concentric lines, the banding that defines this form of chalcedony. Helix draws on Agate Hypnosis, whose dark slices are cut and placed by hand so they tighten into a whirl at the heart of the pattern and loosen into curving rows toward the edges. The result has the rhythm of a drawing more than a quarried stone.

A piece like this works best as a single uninterrupted surface: a lobby or bar wall, a backlit panel, a dining table or a fireplace face. Agate Hypnosis can also be lit from behind, so backlighting can be planned from the start. Helix is built at 2 cm as standard (0.6 to 4 cm on request), and the spiral can be laid out to the project's own dimensions, up to 320 x 190 cm.
