Within each band the stone is broken into small faceted pieces and set by hand, so the arcs have a crystalline sparkle rather than a flat color. The white and smoky bands resemble quartz and the violet core looks like amethyst, though the stones are not individually identified, so the exact mix is worth confirming with a sample before specifying.

The arcs give the pattern a clear direction, which suits long runs such as corridor or lobby walls, bar fronts, headboard walls and large tables, where they can be aligned across adjoining panels. It is built 2 cm thick by default, with 0.6 to 4 cm available for special cases, and the arcs can be sized to a panel of up to 320 x 190 cm. Acidic products should be kept off the polished face; a neutral cleaner handles routine cleaning.
