Jasper Red

Red jasper owes its color to iron oxide, and the stone in this slab ranges from bright scarlet to a deep, wine-dark red. Most pieces are solid in tone, while others show smoky bands or crisp white veins. The stones are cut into irregular shapes and fitted by hand, with narrow joints so each fragment stands on its own.

Gold-colored lines can fill the joints, and silver, brass and copper inlays are also available, so the joint treatment can be settled when ordering through Modul Marble. Sizes are made to order up to 320 x 190 cm, in the usual 2 cm or anywhere from 0.6 to 4 cm. Opaque and strongly colored, it holds its own on a bar front, feature wall, vanity or tabletop. For upkeep, warm water with a few drops of neutral soap works well.
