Corinthian Beige is a distinguished Greek marble quarried in the Corinthia region of the Peloponnese. It is characterized by a sophisticated khaki-beige background accented with delicate creamy streaks and wispy veins that provide a sense of organic movement and warmth. Highly resilient and versatile, this stone is a preferred choice for both luxury interior flooring and grand exterior monuments. Historically prized by the ancient Romans as marmor corinthium, certain unique cuts of this marble feature dark, circular veining patterns so striking they were once referred to as tiger or leopard stone. Classic examples of this material’s enduring elegance can still be observed today within the historic basilicas of Rome.
Lot 134220 is a 6-slab run of 2 cm Corinthian Beige marble, from Greece, in a honed finish. The slabs measure about 123″ × 73″, with 6 slabs available at our Los Angeles yard.
This slab
The recorded size of a slab in this lot is 123″ × 73″, about 62 square feet. Thickness is 2 cm. The color on record is beige. Natural stone still varies inside that description, so the slab itself is the reference for movement and shade. This material is recorded as quarried in Greece.
The honed finish is smooth and matte, without a high gloss. Two centimeters is a standard slab thickness for counters, vanities, and wall cladding.

Where it works
For this kind of stone, the usual applications are bathrooms, vanities, fireplace surrounds, and feature walls. The right use still depends on the finish, the thickness, and how the slab will be cared for after it is installed. Inspiration photos show this stone in a Bathroom and a Powder.
The material
Marble is a metamorphic stone, recrystallized from limestone, and it is valued for veining and a luminous surface. It is softer and more sensitive to acids than granite or quartzite, so wine, citrus, and strong cleaners can etch a polish. That is why it is a classic for bathrooms, vanities, fireplaces, and walls, and for kitchens when the owner wants the look and will live with a natural patina. A honed face shows etching less than a high polish. Vein direction should be planned on the actual slabs before fabrication.
