Semi-Precious Stone · Agate
About Agate Phoenix
Within each Phoenix slice, near-black chalcedony alternates with pale, sugary crystal, and many slices are cut long rather than round, so the banding runs in sweeping strokes instead of tight circles. Phoenix comes in three versions: the standard composition, built from smaller pieces; Phoenix Giant, where larger slices make each band pattern easier to read; and Phoenix With Gold Dark Giant, which pairs the darkest stone with gold inlay along every hand-fitted joint.
Under ordinary light the composition looks moody, a gray-brown that sits comfortably beside dark wood and bronze. Backlit, it glows like embers, which makes it a strong choice for the wall behind a bed or a living room sofa. For a headboard or sofa wall, the panel is drawn to the room, with a 320 x 190 cm limit per piece and 2 cm as the typical depth, adjustable over a 0.6 to 4 cm span. Maintenance is modest: a mild cleaner applied with a damp microfiber cloth, and nothing abrasive or acidic.
