Quartz Smoky

Smoky quartz is the brown-to-gray variety of crystalline quartz. In the Light version, frosted white crystal carries scattered taupe and lilac-gray pieces; Medium is a cloudy mid-gray; Dark moves into brown-gray; and Very Dark is an espresso tone sparked with bright, fractured crystal. Each slab is assembled by hand from irregular pieces.

All four are translucent; backlit, the lighter grades glow silvery and the darkest turns amber and bronze around near-black pieces. That range helps match the slab to a scheme, from a pale spa bathroom to a dark lounge bar. Every depth is available at the 2 cm standard or from 0.6 to 4 cm, and in custom sizes up to 320 x 190 cm. Backlit walls, bar fronts, vanity tops and kitchen islands are the usual applications. A neutral stone soap, used with a soft cloth, covers routine cleaning.
