Jasper Shellflint

The jasper used for Shellflint is banded, and its pieces show layered lines that ripple across the gray ground much like sediment or growth rings. Tan and honey-colored bands follow some edges, and a few nearly white fragments add contrast. The stone is cut into angular shapes and assembled by hand, with lighter and darker pieces kept evenly spread.

Lit from the front, the standard version reads as a calm, textured neutral; jasper is opaque, so backlighting is not part of its appeal. Thickness options run from 0.6 to 4 cm around a 2 cm standard, and each slab can be sized to the project up to 320 x 190 cm. The pale version suits bathrooms, kitchen islands and wall cladding in gray or white schemes, while the dark one fits bars and fireplace walls. Wipe spills promptly and clean with a gentle, non-abrasive stone cleaner.
