Agate Red

Few agates in the range match it for saturation. The slab is assembled by hand from medium-sized oval and elongated agate pieces whose outer layers are a vivid scarlet; inside, the color cools to violet-gray and purple-brown, crossed by pale streaks that follow the stone's banding. The gold inlay in the joints, supplied in imitation or real gold, echoes the red's warmth and draws a fine metallic network across the surface.

Agate Red is usually most effective in measured doses: a bar front or top, a powder room wall, a lobby panel, or a console table. How it looks lit from behind has not been confirmed, so illuminated designs should be checked in advance. It is made to order in the 2 cm standard or any thickness from 0.6 to 4 cm, in pieces up to 320 x 190 cm.
